M62 re-opened

The M62 eastbound carriageway between junction 21 at Milnrow and junction 22 at Rishworth Moor has been fully re-opened following a vehicle fire this morning (Thursday 9 October).

Two lanes had been closed since this morning but both have now been re-opened.

The fire to a large trailer occurred at around 6am this morning. A man suffered slight burns from the blaze but he declined hospital treatment.

Fire Crews were still tackling the blaze at 8am.
