Dear Rochdale Online,

I am writing to thank everyone in Rochdale who contributed to, supported, worked for or voted for the Liberal Democrats in the recent General Election.  Of course I am not just here to support the said people - I am here to support everyone in the Rochdale Constituency - please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any problem that you would like help with, after all that is why I am here.

As you know the election here in Rochdale was a close one - the Lib Dems won by just over 400 votes, it was too close for comfort, that is probably a good thing. I will not let anyone down and campaign on the positive messages that we put out during the campaign. This includes fighting tooth and nail for Tony Blair to keep his promise on the Metrolink, striving to improve the health services in Rochdale (including Phase 2 of Rochdale Infirmary) safegaurding our local services and working to make people's life safer and a lot more.

I was impressed by the professionalism of Rochdale Online. I felt the coverage on your website was fair and even handed.  This was despite the pressure that you were no doubt put under from all the parties contesting the election. Rochdale Online is a superb organisation that gives Rochdale a massive presence on the World Wide Web, whether that is the News section, your Message Board or the superb professional Websites that RO does for many organisations here in Rochdale. 

Indeed, when working in London I will be taking advantage of Rochdale Online to keep and eye on what news is breaking in Rochdale and also what events are taking place.  I hope that we can continue to work to keep the people of Rochdale in touch with the issues that affect them,
