Hollingworth Lake walk for toddlers and children

Enjoy your first steps to country walks.

Parents and carers are welcome to come and enjoy an afternoon stroll on Wednesday 12 October around Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough.

As part of Family Learning Week, join the Rangers for this fun trail along a route with gentle gradients and reasonable surfaces.

The Family Fun Trail is ideal for carers with toddlers either in pushchairs or just starting to enjoy easy walks in the countryside. All children must be accompanied - dads, mums, grandparents and childminders are all welcome. There will also be a signer from Hopwood Hall College to help people with hearing impairments.

The walk starts at 1pm, meeting at the Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre, Rakewood Road, Littleborough. It will last between one and two hours. The walk is organised by the Heritage Education Access Network in Rochdale.

It is part of a series of similar events running throughout the borough this year promoting the unique heritage of Rochdale and the South Pennines for everyone to enjoy.
