Children switch on Eid festival lights

Mohammed Amjad Hussain from Broadfield Primary School, Marsaleen Abbas from St John's RC Primary School and Neelam Khaliq from Deeplish County Primary School arrived by limousine provided by A-list Limos to switch on the displays of lights with The Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Ashley Dearnley to mark the Muslim festival of Eid in Rochdale.

The colourful light displays are up along Milkstone Road from its junction with Drake Street to its junction with Tweedale Street.

There are multi-coloured displays strung across Milkstone Road and individual fixtures along both sides of the road.
