Wheatsheaf Library celebrates the Big Gay Read Festival

The Wheatsheaf Library is celebrating the Big Gay Read Festival with the visit of two authors, V G Lee and Jenny Roberts.
Jenny Roberts is the author of the Cameron McGill crime novel series and has written a number of short stories. She established the Libertas! Women’s Bookshop in York and is currently working on the fourth Cameron McGill novel, as well as a spy novel.
V G Lee has written two novels, The Woman in Beige and The Comedienne. Her third novel, Diary of a Provincial Lesbian is due out soon. She is also known as a poet and has had her works published in numerous magazines and anthologies. She was shortlisted in 1997 for the Houseman Society Competition and in 1999 for the Poetry Review’s Dreamer Prize.
The winner of the Big Gay Read will be announced during the Queer Up North Festival in Manchester later this month.
The date for your diary is Saturday 13 May, from 2pm. The event is free with refreshments provided.
