After seven years of service Rochdale Online director Brad Journeaux is leaving to go and live in Sweden with his girlfriend, Izla.

Brad was appointed a director of Rochdale Online in April 2005, previously he was company secretary.

Brad has enjoyed plenty of experiences during his time at Rochdale Online, including taking minutes at board meetings! and some less formal occasions, such as visits to the FA and Carling Cup finals to see his beloved Manchester United. Brad also played for a Sunday football team that was sponsored by Rochdale Online.

Rochdale Online’s current company secretary Claire Blanthorn said: “We’re very sorry to see him go. Brad’s been involved since the very beginning helping to get Rochdale Online off the ground.

"I'd like to wish him the best of luck starting his new life in Sweden on behalf of everyone at Rochdale Online;  I'm sure he and Izla will be very happy together."

When Rochdale Online spoke to Brad, he said: “I’m very excited at the prospect of moving away to be with Izla and her family. It’s going to be a big change for me bearing in mind that I’ve never been to Sweden before. It’s going to be a completely different environment but one that I’m looking forward too.

"It’s going to be hard for me to be leaving Rochdale Online though, and I’ll be leaving my family and friends as well.”

Brad will be departing for Sweden on Tuesday morning (2 September).

He will be greatly missed and everyone at Rochdale Online would like to wish good luck to him and Izla for the future.
