More help for Broadfield customers

Owner of Twist nightclub, Dave Sinclair, has offered to waive prices of room hire at his Drake Street venue for those affected by the recent closure of the Broadfield Hotel.

The wedding plans of Broadfield customers were thrown up in smoke when the hotel closed this week and Dave is the latest hotel or venue owner to come to the rescue of distraught couples.

He said: “The loss of the Broadfield is a big loss to the town and I don’t think it was used to its full potential. It should have been doing a lot more considering that it’s a town centre hotel in a useful location and its closure has come as a complete shock.

“For a lot of people with weddings arranged to be held there, it’s a big cost loss, and they’re not likely to get it back, which is a big kick in the teeth, so I wanted to help.”
