Rampaging bull closes motorway!

Parts of the M66 were closed this morning around junction three after police were called to reports that a bull was loose in the area.

The closures were in place for about 45 minutes after police attended the scene at about 10am.

Pilsworth Road was also closed for about half an hour and the bull was destroyed by firearm officers on a grass bank at the back of Pilsworth Industrial Park due to concerns for public safety.

All the roads have now been re-opened.
