Christmas card competition prizegiving

On Thursday evening (21 December) at 6.30pm in the Wheatsheaf centre Paul Rowen MP will be presenting the prizes for a Childrens Christmas card competition organised by the Rotary Club of Rochdale 86 and Bottomley's Art amp; Craft Shop.

There were two age categories for children to enter - Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 - and their brief was to design a Christmas card that could be easily posted.

Rotary member, and proprietor of Bottomley's, Janice Bottomley said: "We had many entrants and the judging was difficult.

"Many thanks to all the children and staff concerned."
