Annual public meeting for Pennine Acute Trust

Diseases affecting tens of thousands of local residents are on the agenda for the annual public meeting of Pennine Acute Trust.
The trust, which runs Rochdale Infirmary, Fairfield General in Bury, North Manchester General Hospital and The Royal Oldham Hospital, is holding its annual public meeting at the education centre of The Royal Oldham Hospital at 6.30pm on Thursday, 28 September 2006.
The formal meeting will be followed by workshop sessions hosted by doctors and nurses on the following topics:
- Coronary heart disease
- Diabetes
- Older people’s medicine
- Renal services
- Cancer services
The event is expected to end at around 8pm.
Health and voluntary groups from across the area have already been invited to attend the meeting, which is open to the public. Rooms are open at 5.30pm, with a buffet supper available prior to the start of the meeting.
