Breast Cancer event boosts Eve's charity walk

An event to raise awareness of Breast Cancer Care takes place on Friday 9 June, 11.30 - 2pm, at The Gateway Centre, 2 Kenion St, Rochdale.

Eve Davidson, from Rochdale Council's Regeneration and Renewal Team, will be taking part in the 10 mile Breast Cancer Care Ribbon Walk on 24 June in Derbyshire. Friends and colleagues have got together to organise the fundraising event to support this charity, open to all women living or working in Rochdale Borough.

The Mayor, Councillor Jean Hornby will open this Event, and there will be speakers on breast screening and on work/life balance. There will also be stalls of interest to all women, and a buffet lunch. Entry cost will be £1. There will also be an opportunity to sponsor Eve as a walker for the Breast Cancer Care Ribbon Walk.

The event is supported by Rochdale PCT; Rochdale Women's Network; Women's Enterprise; Neighbourhood Renewal; Rochdale Council and Roftra.
