Homes needed!

Rochdale Dog Rescue is looking for homes for a number of dogs, however these are not always ex-pound dogs, and are not always in the immediate care of Rochdale Dog Rescue.

From time to time Rochdale Dog Rescue is contacted by a member of the public asking for help to rehome their dog following a change in work or marriage circumstances, ill-health, the death of an owner or financial difficulties.

A spokeswoman said: "Whilst we do not rehome pound dogs directly to the public from the pound, some dogs are still in their existing homes, are in foster homes, or have been signed over directly to rescue and are currently in boarding kennels. In these instances as the dog's background is mostly known and it is possible to visit and assess the dogs and we aim to help rehome the dog on their website.

"Each dog featured has photos wherever possible and a description of its history and current circumstances."

For those interested in offering a home, an initial chat will be required, a homecheck will be carried out and a donation may be required.
