Three little pigs to join childminders for fun day
Date published: 10/06/2008
The three little pigs will come to town as childminders and children from across Rochdale, Heywood and Middleton will come together for a fun day at Heywood Civic Centre next Wednesday (18 June) to celebrate National Childminders day.
Members of Rochdale Borough Childminders Association will perform their own version of the well know tale of the three little pigs.
Event organiser, Deborah Middleton said: “These events are always good fun and a chance for childminders to catch up with each other – something particularly important for childminders who often work alone. There will be lots of useful information and plenty of new ideas for the childminders.”
Books and reading will be the main emphasis of the funday and children are invited to dress up as their favourite book character. There will be prizes for the best costumes on the day and every child will be given a free book.
There will be a visit from the Police and Fire Brigade as well as a range of stalls and activities including face painting, lucky dip, arts and crafts, a children's entertainer and refreshments.
Ms Middleton continued: "There are registered childminders throughout Rochdale and this event will give them an opportunity to chat and share information."
The event will run from 9.30am to 3.00pm.
