Armed Robbery at Petrol Station

Detectives in Rochdale are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery at the Shell Petrol Station on Edenfield Road in the Norden area yesterday, Thursday 9 September 2004.

At approximately 9.30am three masked men burst into the petrol station and threatened the security guards with crowbars.

The men stole a quantity of cash and left the scene in a blue Saab, registration number MX03 OSM. This car was later found abandoned near to Phyllis Street.

Officers are eager to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or anyone who may have seen people acting suspiciously around the petrol station in the days leading up to it.
