Kingsway/Milnrow Road Junction Roadworks
Date published: 30/09/2004
Roadway resurfacing and footpath reconstruction is planned for a major road junction in Rochdale from next week.
The junction of Kingsway, Milnrow Road and Albert Royds Street will be affected. The works will start on Monday 4 October and are scheduled to take 10 weeks to complete.
The first phase of the work will involve the reconstruction of pavements, and should have little impact on road traffic
To minimise rush-hour congestion, work on the road surfaces will only be carried out between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day. Resurfacing works in the junction itself will be carried out on two Sundays towards the end of the project period.
A length of Kingsway will be resurfaced from the junction as far as 305 Kingsway. Following resurfacing of the junction, all road markings will be renewed to assist drivers and pedestrians.
