Staff at Co-operative Food in Bacup have given their support to Springhill Hospice raising £800 through a bucket collection at the tills.
Employees were given the opportunity to nominate a charity that they would like to help.
Springhill Hospice was chosen as a chance to say thank you for the care and support given to colleague Julie Nield and her husband Thomas, who died at the Hospice in 2014.
A regular supporter of the Hospice, Julie said: “Our customers and staff are always incredibly generous here in Bacup. We have been able to collect an incredible amount for the Hospice and I really want to thank everyone for all their donations towards such an important and worthwhile cause.”
