Turning Point providing new outreach support in Rochdale

Date published: 28 April 2016

Westcliffe House, a Turning Point service, has expanded to provide additional outreach support for people living in the community who want to address their alcohol and drug use. The aim of the service is to enable people to live independently and safely in their own homes by providing support on tenancy management and supporting clients to maintain their recovery.

Turning Point has been operating for over ten years in the Borough of Rochdale, supporting people affected by substance misuse. The service provides residential support to local people to help them overcome drug and alcohol misuse, and to develop the skills they need to continue their recovery journey.

Vicky Wright, Senior Team Leader at Turning Point’s Westcliffe House service said: "This is a very exciting opportunity, and we are looking forward to delivering and building relations with even more stakeholders.

"Our creative, personalised approach to delivery will help to improve people’s self-esteem, confidence and wellbeing and will enable them to make healthy choices."

Westcliffe House and the new community outreach service is commissioned by Rochdale Council. Referrals to the service can be made by contacting the service directly on 01706 377 197.
