Date published: 01 May 2016

The Flying Horse Hotel has been packed this bank holiday weekend for the Sausage, Cider and Sound Festival.

The festival, the first of its kind in Rochdale, had ten live bands, eight real ciders on sale, along with a special menu with various locally-made sausage dishes.

Saturday night saw a special celebrity guest performance from Levellers front man Simon Friend, who is best known for his hits back in the 90s.

Owner and landlord of the Flying Horse Hotel Ben Boothman was delighted at the response to the Sausage, Cider and Sound Festival, he said: “It’s been a superb bank holiday weekend.”
