Man seriously injured after being hit by car on Buckley Road

A man in his late 60s was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit with a car on Buckley Road on Sunday (1 May).
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene between Bond Street and Buckley Road shortly after 4.30pm after calls that the man had suffered facial and head injuries after being hit by a Seat Altea.
The man was taken by ambulance to Salford Royal Hospital.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that the man’s injuries were serious and that the area was cordoned off for 50 yards down Buckley Lane while investigations took place.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: “The man who is in his late 60s was taken to Salford Royal Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.”
