Burglars who smashed their way into the Parthenon restaurant with a crowbar in an early morning raid were caught in the act on CCTV, leading to one man being charged.
The popular Heywood Greek restaurant on Church Street was targeted in broad daylight by two offenders on 13 June.
Thankfully the security around the building was high enough to capture their entire antics on film.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed that William Chesters (07/01/1979), of Drake Street, Rochdale has been charged with burglary.
He has been remanded to custody and appeared at Bury Magistrates Court on Wednesday 15 June 2016.
A GMP spokesperson said: “At around 9.20am on Monday 13 June 2016 two offenders forced entry into a restaurant on Church Street.
“A 33-year-old woman has also been arrested in connection with this incident and has been bailed pending further enquiries.”
