Friday 24 June

Darren Marland (31/08/1978), from Rochdale, has been charged with assault and bailed with conditions to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court 11 July.

Abbygail Tarrant (15/08/1994), from Rochdale, has been charged with blackmail, fraud by false representation and several counts of theft from the person and bailed with conditions to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court 15 July.

Thursday 23 June


Shaun Mollard (11/12/1987), from Rochdale, has been charged with possess controlled drugs and drive a motor vehicle without insurance and bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court 8 July.

Declan Hanley (15/08/1992), from Rochdale, has been charged with harassment and bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court 8 July.

Kieron Smith (07/07/1986), from Rochdale, has been charged with drink driving and no insurance and bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court 8 July.

Latif Shafiq (21/04/1980), from Rochdale, has been charged with drug driving and bailed to appear at Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court 8 July.

Two attempted Theft from Motor Vehicle have been reported in the Wardle area around Charnley Fold and Oakhurst Drive, both happened between 05:00am and 05:30am. There has also been a Theft from Motor Vehicle reported on Birch Road. Local PCSOs will be in the area today to collect CCTV and speak with local residents.

Wednesday 22 June

Police investigating an assault which left a man with a broken jaw in Rochdale have launched a fresh appeal for information. The attack took place between 2am and 3am on Sunday 1 November 2015, when the victim was at the Dali Bar and Nightclub in Rochdale Town Centre

A second woman has been charged in connection with images found at a care home in Middleton. Victoria Johnson (19/01/1993) of Cowlishaw Lane, Oldham has been charged with four counts of care worker ill-treating or wilfully neglecting an individual.

Officers attended Dunelm Mill after a report of attempted theft. £100 worth of candles were recovered from the offender.

Tuesday 21 June

A 29-year-old male was arrested and charged in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of drink driving and driving without insurance he is to appear to before magistrates court on 08/07/16

Saturday 18 June

GMP Heywood and Middleton had two incidents reported to them regarding purses being taken out of handbags on Market Street in Heywood Town Centre.

Officers announce that there have been 11 house burglaries reported in the Middleton area in the last couple of weeks. Thieves have entered through open or unlocked windows. Please make sure you close and lock windows overnight and when the house is empty.
