Curtain fire on Darlington Road

Darlington Road, Rochdale
Five people escaped unharmed when a smoke alarm alerted them to a fire in the bedroom of a house on Darlington Road, Rochdale on Tuesday night.
Fire engines from Rochdale and Heywood were called at 10.41pm after curtains in the front bedroom set alight.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue said: “The fire was out on arrival. Four of the five people were assessed by firefighters and paramedics at the scene.”
No injuries were reported.
