Chris Wise and The Hidden Revolution gear up for Ireland tour

Date published: 29 July 2016

Rochdale Indie rockers ‘Chris Wise and The Hidden Revolution’ are gearing up for an Irish tour this autumn.

The two-piece lifelong music friends from Milnrow, Chris Wise and Ian Sanderson, are teaming up with a guest drummer to perform at popular venues across the country, including Dublin, Belfast and Galway, where they’ll launch their new album – the name of which is still under wraps.

The experimental/indie rock band has turned heads on the local music scene in recent months, as the group have been packing out major Manchester venues and growing in popularity.

The Irish tour, say Wise and Sanderson, is a chance to spread their wings a little further and enjoying playing their tracks live on stage to new crowds.

Despite a few EPs in the last few years, the new album is set to be their first official release, marking a new chapter for the band.

Chris Wise and The Hidden Revolution have already been picked up BBC music reviewers, who describe them as having “frantic, manic and menacing melodies”.

Rochdale man Chris said: "We're really grateful to have the chance to tour Ireland and play some fantastic venues. It will be excellent to play to some new crowds and enjoy the beautiful country. It's been an exciting time - there is much more in store too.”

Guitarist Ian Sanderson added: “This is marking the start of a really big period for us so I just can't wait to get out there now and see how Irish crowds like these songs.”

Chris Wise and The Hidden Revolution will play their first Irish concert at the Roisin Dubh, Galway, on Thursday 29 September, before heading to Limerick, County Clare, Cork, Belfast and Dublin.
