Paul Stewart Andrews charged with attempted murder following hammer attack

Paul Stewart Andrews (20/07/1963) has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon after a woman was attacked on Oakcliffe Road.
He has been remanded into custody to appear before Bury and Rochdale Magistrates Court on Tuesday 27 September 2016.
This is in relation to a report made to police on Sunday 25 September 2016, that a woman had been attacked with a hammer on Oakcliffe Road, Rochdale.
The woman was taken to hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition.
