Students graduate in style

Date published: 29 September 2016

Students graduated from Hopwood Hall College’s higher education courses, at a graduation ceremony at Rochdale Town Hall.

Over 50 students walked with their teachers from the Rochdale campus to the Town Hall, via the Memorial Gardens. They were then met with applause by the VIPs who were waiting outside to greet them.

Inside, friends and family watched with pride as their loved ones graduated.

The VIPs at the event included Mayor Ray Dutton, Mayoress Elaine Dutton, Steve Rumbelow (Chief Executive at Rochdale Council) and Liz McInnes MP.

Students at the event graduated from a range of different courses, including mechanical and electronic engineering, early years, health and social care, games development and performing arts.

Derek O’Toole, Principal of Hopwood Hall College, commented: “Higher Education is really important to us at Hopwood Hall College and we are thrilled to see so many of our students succeeding and with us this evening.

“Everyone at Hopwood Hall College would like to congratulate all of our students who are graduating tonight.”
