Mr Hanson has written to Danczuk as follows:

Dear Mr Danczuk,

Further to your recent assertions as to the professionalism of the men and women of Greater Manchester Police who have conducted the latest investigation into Knowl View School, I welcome your invitation to debate the issues.

To that end I write to invite you to attend the Greater Manchester Police Federation Open Meeting on Thursday 27 October at the Renaissance Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester. Also present will be the Chief Constable Ian Hopkins and Tony Lloyd the Interim Mayor of Manchester. Those involved in the investigation and other colleagues may also be in attendance. A 15 minute moderated debate will be facilitated at the start of the meeting.

Please advise this office of your attendance and we look forward to seeing you on the night.

Yours sincerely,
Ian Hanson
Chairman
Greater Manchester Police Federation

Mr Danczuk has not responded to an invitation to comment, however, it is understood he has refused the invitation.
