Boost for healthier lifestyles

Date published: 16 April 2017

A new Living Well partnership is being developed to build easier routes to healthier lifestyles for people in the borough.

Living Well will be delivered by a partnership between The Big Life group, Link4Life, Rochdale & District MIND, Early Break and Rochdale CVS to offer lifestyle change on our doorsteps and in our homes.

Over the coming months Living Well will:

  • Offer more joined-up help and support with healthy lifestyle change to families and children.
  • Enable teams of health specialists across different organisations to work more closely together so they are better equipped to help people and families facing more challenging multiple lifestyle changes and prevent long term ill-health linked to lifestyle choices.
  • Provide a platform to help local communities focus their strengths and resources in the fight against health inequality.
  • Give people, families and services in the borough a single point of access for support with lifestyle change that’s delivered locally or reached easily.

Rochdale Council, the NHS, and voluntary groups are giving their full support to the initiative.
