Some town centre car parks closed on Saturday

A number of town centre car parks will be closed on Saturday due to a demonstration that is taking place.
Car parks at Rochdale Town Hall, High Street, Whitworth Road, Upper Broadfield and Lower Broadfield are not affected and will remain open to the public.
Mark Widdup, Director of Neighbourhoods at Rochdale Borough Council said: “A group informed us they are coming to Rochdale on Saturday.
"The council will be working with Greater Manchester Police to facilitate a safe and peaceful demonstration.
"There will be minimal disruption in the town centre, although a number of town centre car parks will be closed. ”
