New Council Cabinet

The new leader of Rochdale Borough Council, Councillor Allen Brett, will present the new cabinet positions to a meeting of the council on Wednesday (13 December) evening.

Main changes

  • Councillor John Blundell takes over from Councillor Richard Farnell as the Cabinet Member for Regeneration.
  • Councillor Sara Rowbotham replaces Councillor Jacqui Beswick as the Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing.
  • Councillor Liam O’Rourke replaces Councillor Peter Williams as the Cabinet Member for Business, Skills and Employment.
  • Councillor Kieran Heakin becomes the Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, replacing Councillor Donna Martin.

It is not yet known who Councillor Brett will appoint as deputy leaders.
