Whitworth Amateur Musical and Dramatic Society production of Aladdin postponed

Date published: 13 December 2017

The upcoming production of ‘Aladdin’ by Whitworth Amateur Musical and Dramatic Society (WAMDS) has been postponed until January as a result of a heating failure at St John’s.

The pantomime was originally set to be performed between Wednesday 13 and Saturday 16 December, but has now been pushed back to 3-6 January (Wednesday to Saturday). A matinee performance will still take place on the rearranged Saturday.

Andy Kelly said: “I am really sorry to announce that we have had to postpone the show at St John’s. The heating failed at the end of last week. Whilst we have been working tirelessly to fix it, we have had to scrap the 50-year-old boiler.

“I am sure you will understand our situation: we simply could not put an audience in such an uncomfortable environment.”

Tickets can be transferred to the corresponding day, or a full refund issued. If you have bought or reserved tickets and want to transfer or refund, contact the box office on 01706 630773.
