Top marks for schools' support team

Date published: 19 January 2018

The school support team at Rochdale Council have been accredited by Capita for the excellent support they provide for the eighth consecutive year.

The team provides teachers, senior managers and support staff with the tools to efficiently manage daily school life and drive improvement in schools.

Accreditation is undertaken every two years and recognises support teams providing high quality support to schools and aims to further develop the services they offer.

Councillor Kieran Heakin, cabinet member for children’s services, said: “This is another success story for Rochdale. It is great to see our hard working staff getting their deserved accreditation; they do a fantastic job supporting schools. To be one of only 24 local authorities nationally, and one of only three from the North West, who are accredited, is a real achievement and shows how well supported our schools are here in Rochdale.”
