York stone flags stolen

York stone flags were stolen from a house on Towncroft Avenue, Middleton over night on Wednesday.

Emma Hezelgrave-Whitworth said: “I got a phone call at 7.15am today, Wednesday 21 February to say that the flags on the drive of a house we are selling had been stolen.

“If anyone has any information on who has lifted and stolen the Yorkshire stone from the driveway at Towncroft Avenue please let the police know.”

A police spokesperson said: “At around 8:15am on Wednesday 21 February, police received a report that Yorkshire stone flags had been stolen from a property on Towncroft Avenue, Middleton. The theft is believed to have happened overnight and anybody with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 387 of Wednesday 21 February.
