Date published: 26 February 2018

Bus shelters along both sides of Rochdale Road, Firgrove and into Milnrow and Newhey were vandalised on Wednesday night (21 February).

Glass was strewn along the pavements and kerbsides.

Residents and businesses were out cleaning up the mess on Thursday morning.

Councillor Neil Butterworth, Labour councillor for Milnrow and Newhey, said: "I am appalled at such anti-social behaviour. I would urge anyone who has any knowledge or information about the mindless vandals who caused this damage to contact the police."

A police spokesperson said: “A number of bus shelters have been damaged during the night of Wednesday 21 February.

"Anyone with information please contact the police on 101 quoting 048971V/18.”
