Irish retailer Dunnes to close locally on St Patrick’s Day
Date published: 14 March 2018
Dunnes Stores in Heywood is set to close on St Patrick’s Day (Saturday 17 March).
The Irish retail chain is understood to be lacking in business, and is believed to be pulling all stores in England and Scotland. A store in Bradford was closed suddenly in 2015, whilst two in Glasgow were closed towards the end of 2017.
Staff at the Times Retail Park branch are understood to be made redundant following the closure.
Primarily selling food, clothes and household wares, the company will still operate in Ireland and online
Dunnes did not respond to an invitation to comment.
