Local residents caught a fly-tipper in action during the early hours of Wednesday morning (14 March).
Norden residents blocked in the shameless tipper in at 6.30am after he was caught dumping waste, including asbestos, on Greenbooth Road.
He was blocked in until the police arrived and residents watched as the tipper was made to reload the waste back on.
A spokesperson for Friends of Norden Jubilee Park & NEEVA, said: “Rochdale Council Environmental Enforcement and the police are dealing with this matter. Let's hope for a good outcome or a big fine, as this is unacceptable behaviour.”
The spokesperson added: “We will make sure that the site is checked for any asbestos residue and made safe.”
