Moorland fire in Littleborough

The fire near the Whitehouse Pub
A moorland fire has broken out in Littleborough on Tuesday afternoon (5pm on 10 July).
The fire is on the moors near the White House Pub on Halifax Road with roadblocks in place at The Moorcock Inn and Blackstone Edge Road.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue have confirmed two fire engines are in attendance with two more en route.
Large quantities of smoke have led to road closures in the area on Halifax Rd (A58), so police are in attendance and the public should avoid the area if possible.
