Help Springhill Hospice by recycling

Date published: 05 December 2007

Springhill Hospice is appealing to the residents of the borough to help them raise much needed funds and at the same time help the environment by recycyling.

A spokesowamn for the Hospice said: "Everyone must now be aware of the national drive to save energy and help fight pollution by correctly recycling rubbish, scrap metal, etc.

"The Hospice raises much needed funds by recycling so please donate:

  • Any old coins and banknotes, English or foreign, from old pennies to pesetas!
  • Any unwanted gold and silver jewellery, including costume jewellery (it doesn’t matter if it’s broken).
  • Any old watches (working or not) -  wrist watches and pocket watches.
  • Old badges and medals.

"These can be dropped off at any of our offices and shops.

"This is just another form of recycling which can make a dramatic difference to the Hospice."
