Mellor Street / Dane Street junction roadworks

Mellor Street will be closed one way temporarily between its junctions with Dane Street and College Road next week (commencing Monday 13 October) as repair work begins on the Mellor Roch Bridge.

The road will be closed in the direction towards the town centre from the College Road / Bury Road junction. Access to Asda from Manchester Road will be possible as normal.

A work team will be carrying out repairs to a damaged parapet on the bridge. It is envisaged that the work will not take longer than five days to complete.
