Railway line closure date changed to Sunday 29 July

We recently reported that due to engineering work no trains would run between Rochdale and Manchester via Oldham on Sunday 5 August 2007 and Milnrow and Newhey stations would be closed on thast date. However, Network Rail have changed the date of the engineering work to Sunday 29 July 2007 when there will no trains on the Oldham line. Trains will run as normal on 5 August.

Substitute buses will be provided from and to all stations on the line. At Newhey the buses will use the bus turnaround on Shaw Road.

The train service between Rochdale and Manchester via Castleton is not affected.
