Family Information Service make Play Day Shrek Green

Date published: 25 July 2007

Rochdale Borough Family Information Service will be painting the town green on National Play Day as they bring Shrek to Rochdale Town Centre.

Visitors to the Play Day on the Esplanade in Rochdale Town Centre on 1 August are urged to visit the Family Information Service stand.  Children will be able to enter a Shrek colouring competition with the chance to win a bag of Shrek goodies, whilst parents can take information about how the Family Information Service can help them find information about childcare and activities to do during the summer holidays.

No-one will leave empty handed as there will be crayons, activity books and stickers as giveaways.

National Play Day is the annual celebration of children’s rights to play. It is a national campaign where thousands of children and young people get out and play at local events.
