Springhill High School has seen a 10% improvement since last year, and now has 77% overall pass rate for 5A*-C, a steady increase in the past eight years.

Top performers included Vicky Mills attained 16 GCSEs which included 4A*, 3A and 9B and Nardah Azim, who achieved 15 GCSEs; Mohammed Moin achieved 14 GCSEs 2A*, 11A and 2B. The former GCSE students intend on furthering their education at college.

Deputy Head teacher, Steve Parrett said: “I am thrilled to bits with the GCSE results, I’ve been here for eight years now and every year the results have improved. They started at 28% and we’re now at 77% A*-C grade. The increase is amazing.

This is down to the hard work of the students, staff and parents- a team event that results in the results improving every year.

It still excites me to see the students year after year, to see the smiles and all the jumping around.”
