Postal strikes hit Rochdale

Postal deliveries in Rochdale will be affected by a workers strike this Saturday (5 September).

The Communication Workers Union has accounced strike action by Royal Mail staff across the country, with Rochdale one of three towns to be affected in Greater Manchester.

Between Monday and Wednesday there will be disruption to the main distribution network, which is expected to cause delays throughout the UK.

Strikes are the only weapon left to the working person. If something has been agreed at national level it is the duty of the management to ensure that the interpretation of these agreements are properly relayed to their managers and not leave interpretations to those who were not part of the negotiations.
