All but two schools open

The vast majority of Rochdale pupils are now back in the classroom following the big freeze.

All but two schools are open as normal today (Tuesday 12 January).

More than 70 schools were closed on Wednesday last week as the snow and ice hit Rochdale hard, but today only St John's RC Primary is closed, while Whittaker Moss Primary is open to years 2 and 6 only.

Rochdale Council’s website, www.rochdale.gov.uk has regular updates on which schools are closed, and parents and carers are advised keep a check on it.
