Help Laura to raise money for Springhill Hospice

Date published: 07 February 2010

Rochdale Online reporter Laura Wild is taking a big leap for charity.

The brave journalist will jump out of a plane from 10,000 feet in a tandem skydive on Sunday 21 March in aid of Springhill Hospice.

As part of the jump, she must raise £395 to give to the charity.

Springhill Hospice has teamed up with Skyline and has 20 places reserved with the famous Black Knights parachute team.

Laura said she is very excited about the jump: “I have never done anything like this before, I am really looking forward to it.

“I am a little bit nervous, but I think that Springhill Hospice is a great place to raise money for. It is the people’s hospice and means so much to many people within the borough.

“I have set a target of £600 to reach that would be great and to break it would be fantastic.”
