House fire on Manchester Road

Fire fighters tackled a fire at a property on Manchester Road, Rochdale, this morning (Tuesday 7 September 2010).
Three fire engines from Rochdale and Heywood attended the fire at 6.31am.
On arrival, they were faced with a fire in the bedroom of a terraced house.
Two people were self rescued prior to the fire service arriving; one lady was treated for affects of smoke by paramedics at the scene but later declined hospital treatment.
