College welcomes VIP visitor

The Chief Executive of the Young People’s Learning Agency, Peter Lauener, has visited Rochdale Sixth Form College.
Head of the national Agency that champions education and training opportunities for 16 – 19 year olds, Mr Lauener, was greeted by executives from Rochdale Sixth Form College’s Student Council, plus College Principal, Julian Appleyard, and Director of Resources, Joy Bell.
He said: “I was thoroughly impressed with Rochdale Sixth Form College. The facilities and building are second to none, and the students were very engaged and purposeful.”
Julian Appleyard, who hosted a tour of the College for the VIP guest, added: “We were delighted when Peter Lauener accepted our invitation to visit the College, and hope he found the time he spent with us helpful in terms of gaining insight into life and day to day running of a sixth form college.”
