Do you know this man? Police would like to him about an assault at Manchester Piccadilly
Do you know this man?
British Transport Police has re-released CCTV images of a man officers would like to speak to after a 22-year-old man was kicked in the face at Manchester Piccadilly rail station.
The attack happened at around 11.10pm on Thursday, 2 August, as the victim sat on a seat on the main station concourse.
PC Tony McGibbon said: “The victim was sat with friends when he was approached by the offender who, without warning, kicked him in the face.
“The victim’s friends tried to intervene, but they were threatened by the offender who kicked the victim again and calmly walked away.
“The attack was as sudden as it was shocking and cowardly and I am determined to trace the man responsible.”
Following an initial appeal last month, which sadly resulted in no new leads, PC McGibbon has taken steps to re-appeal for information.
PC McGibbon added: “I would like to speak to the man in the CCTV image as I believe he has vital information about the assault.
“If you recognise the man – or have any other information about the assault – please get in touch.”
If you have any information please call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 40 50 40.
In all calls please quote log 11 of 3/8/12.
