Four teenagers were threatened and had their bikes and phones stolen from a park in Heywood.

It happened at about 3.00pm on Sunday 24 March 2013 when they were riding their bikes on the BMX track in Queens Park on Queens Park Road.

Two men approached the group and said they would stab them if they didn’t hand over their bikes and phones.

The two offenders are described as aged between 18 and 20, one of the men is described as white and the other mixed race.

Two of the group’s bikes were stolen, one was a ‘we the people’ BMX with black frame, red handlebars, red cranks and pedals.

The second bike was a ‘premier subway 2013’ with a matt black frame, blue handlebar grips, blue stem and cream-walled tyres.

Three phones were also stolen a Black Blackberry Curve, a Black Samsung Galaxy Mini and a Black HTC Desire.

Detective Constable Nick Price, Rochdale division: “The victims were young teenagers who have been left upset by what has happened, they had their prized possessions stolen and are desperate to get them back.
