Rochdale North Neighbourhood Inspector Umer Khan said: “Drugs are the scourge of our community. Residents have told us how concerned they are the effect drugs can have on the local area. We take their concerns very seriously and these latest warrants prove we are dedicated to eradicating the issue.

“This seizure is huge and thankfully we have been able to prevent these drugs from hitting the streets. This underlines our commitment to addressing issues that affect our communities the most.

“I would ask anyone who may have information as to where drugs are being sold or cultivated, to contact police as soon as possible. The details you provide will be kept in the strictest of confidence.”
