Entwisle Road Household Recycling Centre closed

Entwisle Road’s Household Waste Recycling Centre and Transfer Loading Station closed for business at 6pm yesterday, Sunday 13 January. The Transfer Loading Station was used by residents travelling in vehicles over 5’9", and business customers.

Alternative facilities for residents travelling in vehicles over 5’9", and business customers are available.

Residents in vehicles under 5’9" can use the facilities at Chichester Street in Rochdale.

Rochdale Borough Council will be using the site to "bulk’ recyclable materials so that they can then be transported on for processing in reasonable sized loads. The Council say the facility will make the process as economically sound as possible and will also cut down on unnecessary journeys and the effects that extra trips would have on the environment.
